Author Guidelines

1. General Information

The Journal of Business Management (JBM) publishes original, high-quality research in business, management, and related applied social science disciplines. Authors are encouraged to carefully read and follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.

Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned for revision prior to peer review.


2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

The journal accepts the following types of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles and Systematic Literature Reviews

  • Conceptual and Theoretical Papers

  • Case Studies

  • Methodological Papers

All submissions must demonstrate originality, academic rigor, and clear contribution to theory and or practice.


3. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Authors must ensure that their manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and unpublished

  • The manuscript is not under review by another journal

  • All authors have approved the submission


4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should generally follow the structure outlined below:

  • Title Page

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Introduction

  • Literature Review

  • Methodology

  • Results / Findings

  • Discussion

  • Implications (Theoretical and or Managerial)

  • Conclusion

  • Limitations and Future Research Directions

  • References

The structure may be adapted depending on the nature of the manuscript.


5. Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Pages should be numbered consecutively


6. Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should be between 150 and 250 words

  • It should clearly state the purpose, methodology, key findings, and contributions

  • Provide 4 to 6 keywords immediately after the abstract


7. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively

  • Each table and figure must have a clear title and source (if applicable)

  • Tables and figures should be placed within the text close to where they are first mentioned


8. Referencing Style

The Journal of Business Management follows the APA referencing style (latest edition).

Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of all references. In-text citations and reference lists must strictly follow APA guidelines.


9. Ethical Considerations

Authors must adhere to ethical standards in research and publishing. This includes:

  • Proper acknowledgment of sources

  • Avoidance of plagiarism and self-plagiarism

  • Disclosure of any conflicts of interest

  • Compliance with ethical standards for research involving human participants

The journal uses plagiarism detection software to screen submissions.


10. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The review process includes:

  • Initial editorial screening

  • Anonymous review by at least two expert reviewers

  • Editorial decision based on reviewers’ recommendations

The possible editorial decisions include:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject


11. Publication Ethics and Misconduct

The journal follows recognized ethical publishing practices. Any suspected misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical authorship practices, will be investigated and handled according to established procedures.


12. Open Access Policy

The Journal of Business Management is an open access journal. All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide.


13. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing in the journal, authors grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article under an open access license.


14. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

At present, the Journal of Business Management does not charge submission fees. Information regarding article processing charges, if applicable in the future, will be clearly communicated on the journal website.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
